Cabalantian Road Trip

Weekend came and we were geared for a cyclo-tourism joyride. As a new biker, practice pedaling is a must.

After a break-away attempt, we had our first stop-over at Gugu Bridge Bacolor shed to take a breather.

The road to Cabalantian Bacolor is an upward slope so pedaling becomes a little harder. Upon reaching the cathedral, we all got hungry and ordered puto-bumbong for a light snack.

2fast2furious went dirt-jumping at Zona 5.

Heading back, the challenge we encountered was to conquer the Gugu bridge ramp. It has a flat break in the middle so there is a tendency to lose the upward momentum which made it difficult to finish the climb. Later on we discovered that timely shifting of gear is the key to this obstacle.

We also tasted our first off road experience at the lahar-covered Gugu River quarry area.

Finally we're back home for a rewarding breakfast. Yummy!!!
